An opportunity to visit and live in West Africa was another life changing experience that helped shape the character Eric displays today. He completed an internship through the country of the Gambian courts and police department. “My internship in West Africa was humbling. It made me appreciate life more and be grateful for what I was fortunate to have,” Eric explained.
During his time in college, Eric pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., a historically African American Greek-lettered fraternity. His involvement helped him gain team building and leadership skills he would apply throughout his life and career. He credits his college experience for building the foundation of who he is today.
In 2006, Eric graduated from Langston with honors obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Afterwards, he relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area starting a career in law enforcement at the stout age of 22. His experiences in this field broadened his perspective on life and the world as it is; the good, the bad, and the evil.
Throughout his career, Eric has worked in various units of the police department, but his favor thus far has been the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, where he gained valuable experience in truck laws, safety and regulations.
Eric has testified in court about truck cases and investigated truck accidents. In addition, he has coached and trained truck drivers and companies about the importance of truck safety. Over a decade of training and experience has made Eric a valuable resource enabling him to help others understand truck safety and compliance at higher levels than they had before.

Eric is a fleet owner himself. He talks the talk and walk the walk. Many others have sought out his guidance as a coach and mentor because of his knowledge and daily practices. He continually educates himself by staying abreast of trends in the industry and changes to trucking laws and regulations. His experiences in life, law enforcement and the trucking industry has empowered him to effectively serve the community of transportation, as he continues to evolve.
